I would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year.

Last night, my wife and I were fortunate to attend the Chick-fil-a Bowl.  It was a great game and we had a lot of fun.  Although, I did attend UGA for a time, I guess I must reveal my true colors – WAR EAGLES!!!

As I sit here reviewing 2007, it contains one of my most life changing events.  Not that the birth of my two children or the marriage to my wife 14 years ago or the time I served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Shield/Storm were not life changing events.  Deciding to run for City Council, and winning, has put so many people’s livelihood in my hands.  Decisions I make will affect many lives and I am honored that you, the citizens of Flowery Branch, have given me this responsibility.

Tomorrow, I will be sworn in as your City Councilman Post 2, and I am excited about the opportunity to lead Flowery Branch into the future.
